When you visit our website

If you use our contact form, we ask for your name, and email address. That information and anything else you tell us will be handled securely. Only what is needed to deal with your enquiry will be passed on internally or externally. We do ask that you do not include sensitive personal information in any communication unless it is directly relevant, to make it easier for you and us to protect you.

We will use the information you provide to deal with your enquiry and for no other purpose.

When We Send You Our Newsletter

Where you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will send you a monthly newsletter to the email address you have provided.

We will have asked you for your consent to receive the newsletter. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us using the information at the top of this Privacy Policy, or by following the unsubscribe instructions found in the newsletter.

As required by the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulation 2003, we will only send marketing communication by email where we have your explicit consent to do so.

 

When You Sign Up to One of Our Events

If you sign up to one of our events via Eventbrite, we will send you event details to the email address you have provided.

We will also retain your email address on our MailChimp database. We will ask for your consent to receive our newsletter. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us using the information at the top of this Privacy Policy, or by following the unsubscribe instructions found in the newsletter.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing information are:

Who Else Gets To See Your Information

We won’t ever sell your information or provide access to it to any third parties for marketing purposes.

In some circumstances we may be required to share your information with the relevant authority (funders, the Council, health providers, etc). We will only do this with your explicit consent.

In exceptional circumstances we may be legally required to pass on your information to the relevant authority, for example, in response to a court order. What they then do with your data is governed by the law. They may also contact you directly. We will always try to make sure that you know when your data is passed on in this way.

The police and other government agencies may also request your information. We will pass it to them once they show us proof that their request is legal. We may not be able or allowed to tell you if this happens.

We won’t keep your information forever. We will keep your information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes explained in this Privacy Policy. We will renew consent to hold your information every 2 years.

You have the right to ask us to delete what we have or stop processing it. However, we may not be able to do so immediately if the information is required for us to fulfil an obligation to you or if we are legally required to keep it. We will always tell you what we are doing and why.
